shop with state-of-the-art equipment and trained staff
to offer reconditioned wheels with the same look and
durability as new rims for a fraction of the price.
Aluminum automotive wheel reconditioning service is
fast becoming one of the most affordable ways to correct
damage on custom chrome rim. Aluminum alloy car wheels
can be restored to nearly the same quality as when they
were new. Cast aluminum rims, forged alloy rims, or
billeted wheels are sold or repaired at up to 50% of
the list cost from the dealer.
The process for reconditioning a polished aluminum
wheel is very labor intensive. The wheel receives thorough
steam cleaning to remove any tar, dirt or contaminants.
Then each wheel is carefully inspected for damage and
safety to ensure it meets our criteria for repair. Upon
passing inspection, technicians give the wheel light
machining to remove corrosion before power buffing the surface to prepare it for color buffing to finish the process and restore natural luster and shine.
After the wheel is color buffed it can either be pretreated
and clear coated or a surface polymer may be applied. Reconditioned polished aluminum rims are a great alternative to chrome both for durability and ease of maintenance.
